    Generation Lost 18.5!

Now right off the bat I'm going to be honest, I've never read a single issue of the Power Girl series before this. The only reason I picked this up was because it ties in to Generation Lost which is one of my favorite series right now. So make of that what you will.

The Good: Great companion piece to Generation Lost! Picks up right where Generation Lost #18 ended and follows Power Girl in her attempt to convince Batman (Dick Grayson) about Max Lord, and the truth behind Ted Kords death. I really liked the segment where Power Girl flashed back to her last words with Ted which expands on a scene from Countdown to Infinite Crisis. The characterizations were pretty spot on as well. I REALLY liked the art. I don't think I've ever seen this penciler but I like what I see.
Oh and finally the final scene where Bruce Wayne shows up is AWESOME! Now I cannot wait until Generation Lost #22!

The Bad: The book takes a sharp detour in the middle to deal with whatever story arc is going on in Power Girl right now.It comes out of nowhere and has nothing to do with the rest of the issue. Now I am well aware that I am biased in this aspect, and I'm sure many regular Power Girl fans who couldn't care less about Generation Lost are going to be pretty ticked that the series took a detour into Generation Lost.

Conclusion: I surprisingly really enjoyed this issue. The art and colors were great, and the story worked well into the events of Generation Lost. If the book had been all about Power Girl, and Batman's story I probably would have given it a 4.5, or 5 but as it is I'm going with a 4.

Synopsis: What can you do in order to make people believe that Maxwell Lord exist? What's Good? Despite how serious this series has turned, I do like that Judd Winick adds some sort of humor like he did in the beginning of the issue. Ever since Power Girl and the other JSI remembered who Maxwell Lord is, it's been hard for anyone else to remember thanks to what Lord did in the beginning of Brightest Day. The one person that's a key to finding out the truth --Ted Kord, aka Blue Beetle, is dead, ...

      Missing Pieces. 0

This is my intro where I'd normally say how I love Power Girl and then make some double entendre about boobs or something...  I'm going to resist doing that here and just say that Power Girl continues to be a very fun and enjoyable series.  The current arc suffers somewhat from having so much tie-in with Justice League: Generation Lost, but if you can sew together just what is going on in the DCU right now, Power Girl #21 is a piece of the puzzle worth checking out. Lost and Found This Power Gir...
