do you think is a good pokemon to use?,i think starmie is really good,good defences,very good speed and special atk and very versatil when it comes to moves.
Pokémon
Team » Pokémon appears in 414 issues.
Pokémon or Pocket Monsters is a variety of species in in the Pokémon franchise. Each Pokémon has unique abilities they use in battles. Many evolve into more powerful Pokémon that can use stronger moves.
what do you think about starmie?.
I always loved umbreon. Could use psychic atks dark atk ground atk and even flash. Starmie is okay but there are better water pokemon I would pick from (only counting first 250 pokemon).

umbreon doesn't have good speed or attacks,starmie has defences 295,speed 361,special attack 328,and can use moves from every type,it's the best offencive spiner.
Starmie is pretty chill
what do you mean by chill?.
@gokuwarrior: ehh never really followed the level of speed and atk my pokemon had onced they level up.

but you should,that is important when you compete with other trainers with wi fi,you need to have a well balanced team,and starmie is really useful there.
@gokuwarrior: lol thought when I said I was only counting the first 250 pokemon I was kinda making it known I played back in th day with red blue yellow versions of the games. Didnt know u can play using wi-fi now seems like a huge upgrade from the days when me and my friends used to play using the cables to connect our old gameboys.

oh,well you should try,you can fight with people all over the world without leaving your house,it's a great experience.
I'm indifferent. There's so many better pokemon out there.
i think starmie is underrated,it has amazing speed and special attack,good defences and very versatil.
Yeah, he's very underrated.
i think starmie is underrated too,it has amazing speed and special attack,good defences and very versatil.
I used Starmie for a while in Leafgreen. It knew Psychic, Thunderbolt, Signbal Beam, and Waterfall. Its one of those Pokemon no one ever uses but me. I think I was alo the only person to use Sandslash, Dodrio, and Venomoth in Blue....
@gokuwarrior: chill=cool
@gokuwarrior: chill=cool
oh,thanks,i think it's underrated.
Starmie is alright imo. Give that monster rapid spin, and some strong special moves. Starmie is a bulky Pokemon, so take advantage of it's defense stats.

i always use starmie in my team,and many,many people use it,if you fight with other trainers using wi fi,you can find many people around the world that use starmie,it's the best offencive spiner.
by the way,you shouldn't use physical attacks with starmie,its special attack is the best,it has 328 of special attack,with its good defences and recovery,you have a good brick with many versatil special moves that can help you against many opponents.
Forget what I said in my earlier comment. Take advantage of that Special attack stat (with EVs), and pour EVs into it's defense and HP stat.
@twentyfive: starmie has very good speed and special attack,it has 328 of special attack and 361 of speed,with its good defences and recovery,you have a good brick with many versatil special moves that can help you against many opponents.
I can't wait to get an Eevee in X version. I'm going to run wish set on Max HP Vaporeon. One of the best wish users in the game, plus it is the best, and my favorite Eeveelution.
I'm indifferent. There's so many better pokemon out there.
i think starmie is underrated,it has amazing speed and special attack,good defences and very versatil.
I wouldn't call any of it's stats amazing, but ok, that's fair. It's pretty good, for a water type.
Starmie is a terrific pokemon. Blistering speed, great special attack, great typing, great movepool.
One of my personal favorites.
Its a top pick for any team, in game or competitive play.

well i think it has very good speed and spe attack and good defences,plus it's very versatil,that's why i think it's very good.

You already said why you think it's good. And I agree, for a water type it's good.
@squares:starmie is water and psychic,and i don''t understand why you say for a water type,it's stats in speed and special attack are one of the highest in all pokemon games.
@gokuwarrior: In terms of speed Starmie rates 19, and in terms of special attack it rates a 73. So yeah, it's up there, but I'd pick a Kadabra over it any day.
And notice that water/psychic has WATER in it. As in it's a water type in addition to being a psychic type. Most water-types don't have fantastic stats, thus why I said 'for a water pokemon'.

For competitive play refer to Smogon. They're pretty much the go-to resource.

For in game play I usually roll with Surf, Psychic, Ice Beam + 1 move.

i hate that some people say alakazam is much better,they are almost equal in speed,alakazam has 77 points more in special attack,but starmie makes up for it in defence,alakazam 207 and starmie 295,almost 90 points more than alakazam,and starmie has 2 types and is more versatil,and it has natural cuire which is very useful.
@gokuwarrior: I only use dual type pokemon.

do you think starmie needs upgrades,like more speed,special attack and defences?.
@gokuwarrior: Absolutely not. He's a great pokemon.
@gokuwarrior: Absolutely not. He's a great pokemon.
i think it's fine as it is,but since it doesn't have another evolution,maybe they should give it higher stats,but it's already powerful as it is.
@gokuwarrior: It doesn't need a higher evolution or high stats. Trust me. Its a beast pokemon.
Lame.
why?.
@gokuwarrior: It doesn't need a higher evolution or high stats. Trust me. Its a beast pokemon.
i agree,sadly john valentine doesn't agree.
Besides, unless you're playing hacks that have increased the difficult, Pokemon isn't that hard to beat .You can do it with pretty much any lineup - without proper natures - without EV training - etc.
So if you're just playing normal just choose who you like you'll be fine.
@fallschirmjager:what i don't understand is why they create pokemon with bad stats like arbok,corsola and pidgeot.
@gokuwarrior: It doesn't need a higher evolution or high stats. Trust me. Its a beast pokemon.
i agree,sadly john valentine doesn't agree.
It's just not a great Pokemon. There are tonnes of other water types that destroy it in terms of overall stats.

It was Gen III, there wasn't a special-physical split so Waterfall was still special
-unless you meant Signal Beam, which still worked out because it's natures boosted Attack

And now you've said that three times. Want to try for four?
Turns out Alakazam is better in both stats by quite a bit. In many generations it's easier to obtain and doesn't require use of a water stone (which would be better used on a Cloyster anyways).

cloyster?,you think it's better than starmie?,one thunderbolt by starmie or any other pokemon and cloyster is down,most special attackers can one shotte cloyster,and alakazam doesn't have as good defences as starmie,the speed different is just 11 points,and in spe attack,alakazam has 77 points more,but 328 of special attack is still very good anyway.

Oh yeah, and Starmie wouldn't go down with 'one thunderbolt' too?
If we're talking about defense, Cloyster has Starmie beat, no contest. It's also one of the best damn spikers in the game.
@squares:starmie can survive one thunderbolt,cloyster only beats starmie in defence,starmie beats cloyster in special defence,speed and special attack by far,and it's much more versatil,and one of the best offencive spiners in all the games.
