Can't pick for all of them but to me these are the best, IE the ones I tend to use on a regular basis.

Dragon: Gyarados
Ice: Dewgong
Earth: Sandslash
Dark : Umbreon
Flying: Pidgeot
Fire: Charizard
Steel: Aggron

it entirely depends which stat you are trying to cover
attack of special attack
Dragon-Salamence/dragonite
Ice-mamoswine/glaceon
Thunder-electivire/ampharos
Water-gyrados/milotic
ground-rhyperior/camerupt
Fighting- Machamp/Lucario
psychic-gallade/alacazam
Dark-weavile/honchkrow
Ghost-dusknoir/gengar
Poison-drapion/weezing
Bug- Heracross/yanmega
Flying-staraptor/togekiss
Fire-arcanine/magmortar
Grass-tangrowth/roseerade
Steel-metagross/magnezone
Rock-tyranitar/omastar
Normal-slaking/porygon-z

a good few of these can be switched out others of the same type
some wouldnt find milotic that great as a sp.attack example
replace it with vaporeon/omastar/empoleon
some types can also be awesome for two slots
the dragons are interchangeable
omastar can be class for rock and water etc..

but combine leftovers with aqua ring and recover you got one pokemon that will last for ages against any opponent
