Pohatu is the toa of stone. He came to The Island of Mata nui with five other toa to be its protector. He and the others had to save the Island from the Makuta.
After being immersed in liquid protodermis the Toa Mata emerged more powerful than before. Their changed forms, take away the powers of the kanohi masks they had searched for before, yet accented their powers to make them more formidable adversaries for Makuta Teridax.
