@G-Man Regarding the last discussion: In the late 70s and early 80s, comics were released on Thursdays. From Green Lantern 134, released in 1980:
Sept. 25., 1980 was a Thursday (this panel is not the only example of a Thursday release date from that time, just the first one I found). I would guess they came out on Fridays where you lived due to some local distribution issue.
Also, if I remember correctly, in the Golden Age they came out on Tuesdays. I'd have to dig around to find concrete evidence for that though.
@G-Man I really love the idea of community members joining in on the podcast. I actually brought it up on the last podcast.
You were saying on the last episode with Bryan that you thought it might be difficult to execute, but I don't see why. Members could Skype in just the way Sara and guests do. Imagine a different member of the community each week with you, Sara and Cory, or maybe just one with you and a community member?
Is there any book you would hate to work on? "Your mom. The answer is your mom." Josh Fialkov is definitely known for throwing curveballs. Love his work, so picking up his Lantern books is a no brain-er...still skeptical on Red Lanterns though.
Long time Josh Fialkov fan. Happy to hear about him coming on to GLC and his take on Red Lanterns sounds really good. Anxious to hear about what else he has coming up. I'm a huge fan of his creator owned work. I recommend Echoes and Elk's Run to everybody.
