Full disclosure, I posted this elsewhere but got no conversation so I'll post my thoughts on Night of Champions here:

Overall, I was supremely disappointed in the pay-per-view.

Usos vs. Gold and Stardust: I though the opening tag title match was decent but ended poorly. I'm happy with the result though.

Sheamus vs. Cesaro: I enjoyed this match bell to bell. I expected Sheamus to drag it down but he didn't. With that said, the result supremely disappointed me. I find Sheamus to be one of the most boring superstars in WWE and I REALLY wanted Cesaro to get the win. I expect Sheamus will feud with Rusev now?

Ziggler vs. Miz: This match was really entertaining except for the lame country singers. Similarly to the US Title match, I was let down by the result. I have never been overly fond of playing hot potato with a title (more on this with the Divas match).

Seth Rollins/Dean Ambrose: This was a cool segment but it felt a bit out of character for Rollins to issue an open challenge. Glad to see Ambrose back though. That will likely boost the quality of Raw now.

Rusev vs. Mark Henry: This match was so boring I nearly fell asleep. I like Rusev but this Russian angle is doing nothing for me and Mark Henry is just too damn slow and boring. Nothing about this match got me excited.

Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho: Really solid match. The build-up was essentially non-existent but these two delivered a compelling match so I can't complain too much.

Divas Title Match: The match itself was entertaining but, as I stated before, I don't like titles swapping so frequently. It almost diminishes a title win if they just drop it at the next ppv with no successful defenses on that reign. Oh well.

John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar: The match itself didn't matter at all to me. Ultimately the only thing that concerned me was the finish. The end of this match completely took the air out of me. I don't want to see these two in another match and ultimately that is what the ending means. There is also an intriguing angle that might eventually play out between Brock and the Authority but for now the Cena/Lesnar feud continues and that disappoints the hell out of me. I also feel they knocked Lesnar down a peg or two. He would have (most likely) lost to Cena if Rollins hadn't interfered and he would have (most likely) lost to Rollins if Cena hadn't interfered. Seems odd considering the build-up as the biggest monster in WWE history to book the finish to a ppv as Lesnar very nearly losing his title two different times.

The biggest positive I have to say about NOC is the unpredictability of it all. There were a couple finishes that I completely didn't expect and it is always nice when your expectations are subverted. The only problem being the unexpected finishes were mostly just poor booking decisions and not legitimately intriguing. Especially now that I have seen RAW and they decided to swap the IC belt back to Ziggler after one night. I don't get the point other than pointlessly elevating the number of title reigns for each wrestler.

Night of Champions was not bad. 6.5/10 or 7/10. Good wrestling and Shemus vs Cesaro easily my favorite match of the night. WWE still not pushing Cesaro -__-

ANd the mian event was soooo disappointing. WTH was that? Roode and Lashley had 10x better match past TNA impact show. Who the hell books this crap in WWE?

As of RAW, only watched the first segment and the last. It still sucked!!!! RAW is terrible period. I'm just ashamed to be a fan these days because of the crap WWE puts on.

For some reason I can't edit my original post, so I'd like to give my letter grade for the ppv. I'd give it a C-. I enjoyed most of the card but the poor booking decisions/finishes to matches were too much for me to genuinely enjoy the pay-per-view.

Wooo. Did I, hear, that punk right there say anything about VS The Net? The greatest group, of men, to ever grace, God's green earth. I didn't hear that, because as far as I'm concerned VS The Net were here, they took a dump in this podcast, and left Mat. You guys are no VS The Net, that is disrespectful to me and this podcasting business!

Night of Champions was better than I expected but it was poor overall in terms of building up characters or story lines. For my complete thoughts you'd have to track down whatever I wrote in the wrestling thread on Giantbomb. Corey pretty much says the truth about Raw which is that everything not involving Ambrose was pretty dull. Best promo of the week might have to go to MizTV on Main Event.

The clarity of the audio was sort of better however there was a low whining in the left channel of my headphones and Corey's voice was getting a buzz in my right channel. Keep at it. You can get the audio right. All you have to do is Bo-lieve. Pretty good episode this week. Thanks for the podcast.

@inferiorego: It's a parody of a Jay Lethal promo. I'm just trying to maintain kayfabe with my comments. You called it the Endless Promo after all. For the record I've never actually heard that podcast. Sorry buddy.

@madeinbangladesh: Yeah I watched the 9/17 Impact but not last night's episode. It was pretty fantastic honestly. TNA still has its little quirks that bother me but I enjoyed the show.

I want to clarify my NXT question. I absolutely hate the idea of "the look." The reason I asked the question is because I'm concerned that my favorite NXT wrestlers will end up directionless among the man meat that Vince populates his locker rooms with. Almost all of my favorites throughout me watching wrestling have been the smaller guys which is a huge reason I love NXT so much. I get so sick of these slow muscle-heads being the be all end all of WWE's main event scene. It is better now than it used to be though with guys like Bryan, Rollins, and Ambrose all getting pushes without being the prototypical body builders.

Yes. THe ladder match is my MOTY so far. ANd Lashley/Roode was way better than Cena/Lesnar.

Hey guys, really enjoying the podcast so far. It's really nice to have a fun wrestling commentary podcast to listen to every week. Since you guys both seem to like NXT so much, I really wish you would talk about their weekly shows a bit more. Keep up the great work.

@madeinbangladesh: Yeah, that match was super nostalgic for me. I've always been a Hardy Boyz fan and some of those bumps Jeff Hardy was taking made me audibly gasp. Super impressive match. Roode vs. Lashley was also awesome. I've liked Roode a lot ever since he was in Team Canada. I wasn't watching TNA when he was TNA Heavyweight Champion but I'm glad he is in the main event. He has been with the company a long time and deserves it. Also, I'm impressed with how much Lashley has improved his in-ring work. I thought he was really bad when he debuted with the WWE and they pushed him to the moon immediately. Now he actually holds his own in the ring and having MVP as his mouth piece maintains his powerhouse persona.

I'm actually becoming a big Lashley fan. I like him more than Lesnar, He improved a lot in the ring and his booking as World champ has been PERFECTION. He's booked as a strong champ. And he truly is the destroyer. He's also doing great in MMA right now

@madeinbangladesh: I'm not a big fan of really big guys so I wouldn't consider myself a fan of Lashley or Lesnar. That said, I like both of them. At this point, I still like Lesnar more. He sells so well and comes off as an absolute monster. Lashley is doing a great job too but he isn't quite on Lesnar's level imo.

The Americans awesome show!!!!!!

Everything about the WWE right now just feels like there going through the motions. With so many big names out in injury they have to rely on the same old stars.

What happens if John Cena and Randy Orton both get seriously injured before The Rumble? WWE would be hurting and they only have them self's to blame.

This is my first Endless Promo I've listened to, fun stuff. I've been watching wrestling since 1984, and agree that NXT has been better than RAW, I felt like asking for a refund after attending the RAW for Hulk Hogan's birthday. I'm going to start listen to the back while waiting for the next podcast.

Job Squad: Al Snow, Duane Gill, Blue Meanie, Bob Holly & 2 Cold Scorpio.

Kliq event often refered as "The Curtain Call".

Taipei Death Match- Axl Rotten vs. Ian Rotten.

No chance! That's what ya got. I'm going to take a page out of your book and say "It's not for me." Honestly I get enough of your inferior ego on comic vine to last a lifetime.

@inferiorego don't need no 'r's.

CM Punk proved that WWE fans can get behind a guy who isn't Vince's mold for a WWE Superstar. I just wish Vince would have seen that so we could see more people like the NXT talent in the spotlight. A bit of me wishes that NXT just stays it's own thing and doesn't get ruined by it's stars being called to the "main stage". The "main stage" WWE is suffering so badly now that I just want NXT to be all wrestling.

I hate to say it, but WWE will flourish once Vince passes away. I love the guy and all, but it really feels like him and his creative hold overs are keeping the WWE from becoming something as cool as NXT currently is. Rollins v Ambrose, Paige v AJ, and Damien Mizdow are the best things WWE have right now and the rest of it is just boring or downright awful! Fingers crossed they can make Ziggler main event talent, but I just think they don't know what to do with him at all. He needs a new gimmick as the cocky ladies man thing is just dumb and old. The fact that he's been there longer than Reigns, yet Reigns seemed to be taking the fast track to main event status just seems wrong. I feel bad Reigns had the health problems, but I kinda am glad that his push to be the next top talent has been set back a bit.

I don't watch Raw or Smackdown regularly, but I think WWE should really treat them as two different shows, each with their own stories and characters within. I may be wrong as I don't watch Smackdown, but I think WWE should use the show as a proving ground for some of their more out-of-the-box ideas. Like a cross between NXT and Raw.
