Babs, G-Man and Ana talk about Peter Parker getting fired, Green Lantern, Stan Lee on Twitter, Events in comic books, and Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place.
I completely agree on Ryan Reynolds being a better idea for Flash rather than Green Lantern, but they need him for non-comic fans to be interested. Plus he has an interest in the product itself so you have to take it when you can get it.
The Oscars has lots of choices this year probably because The Dark Knight was left out of the choices for best picture last year.
Those vampires in Blade 2 were some of the coolest vampires I've seen.
I hate Magneto. I think he only liked him when he was in Grant Morrison's Planet X and Mark Millar's first Ultimate X Men story. We still do not know if the Avengers movie will work since Hulk did not do that good. Anyone who says Batman does not work in JLA should read Grant Morrison's JLA run.
Woohoo Two guys a girl and a pizza place was great I remember the other guy was an architect and I used to love that show.I don't really have an opinion on Ms.Johansson because I haven't really seen anything that she's in,aside from a JT music vid.I would have to say also that while Marvel make some good movies they certainly don't have all their S together because it is split among different studios Mutants at Fox and Spidey at Sony so their S is split into at least three separate turds.Babs that guy clearly couldn't cut it at least since your interveiw came out maybe some guy will know that a typical Dinner and a movie date won't stimulate such a sophisticated and lovely lady as yourself. As for a cartoon I would like to see perhaps a Pym scientist supreme cartoonm show that is also slightly educational wherein once the fun and silly science stuff in the cartoon episode is over they would have a little time to teach one science fact or something along those lines.I really can't wait to see some more comicbook movies.
@AHR: I had a question for you during the UStream but my internet kicked me out!
Q: You seem to be more knowledgable of Comics than Anime, yet your affiliation leans more to AnimeVice rather than ComicVine... Besides the fact that you do more work for AV than CV, why is that? Is it that you like Anime more than Comics?
Have said it for some time like many others, Ryan Reynolds would have been a far better choice for Wally West/ Flash but I hope he pulls it off for Green Lantern. While I've not seen any of the recent movies in 3D, I honestly hope this is just a fad and goes away soon. I think Ana is right, it may last for awhile, but then fade away. I also prefer things a bit 2-D.
Damn, Ana Rocks! She really knows comics and she explains her position regarding her opinions. I agree with a lot of things she mentioned, but even if I didn't, I enjoy listening to her talk. Awesome. Babs seemed a lot more into the Podcast, great to have her enthusiasm back.
G-Man, you should eat a snack before you do the Ustream/Podcast so you won't be so hungry!
Oh yeah I forgot I also wanted to touch on Sinestro.I really don't understand how someone can like him or and especially call him the "ultimate hero".Regardless of his intentions he has done horrible things and it is clear he has little regard for anyone's life save himself and his people.Throughout the years he has been a villain of the Green Lantern Corp and committed acts of villainy which ultimately culminated in his corp attacking Earth. In the attack he along with The Anti-Monitor, Superboy-Prime, Cyborg Superman, and countless murderers and criminals descended on our planet with their own lantern rings and wreaked havoc.I'm not saying you shouldn't respect his strength or any of his decent qulities but the man is far from a hero.As the saying goes "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." and if that holds true just imagine what that means for Sinestro who encouraged evil's triumph.I just don't get it even if he was only doing so to show the guardians how arrogant and wrong they were it is no excuse to in turn become just as arrogant or wrong. He is cool though just not very admirable and he is definitely a villain.

Thanks for noticing - i AM more knowlegable of comics than anime, but really i'm pretty much an expert in everything. Including film theory. And existentialism. Also Star Wars.
But srsly: I'm first and foremost a video producer on the site, and since my early collaborations with John and Gia went so well, AV has remained my focus. But I wrote a comics blog for the last two years (geekanerdblog.com!), and I do love love love comics. Since working here at Whiskey Media, I've gotten way into anime, and have had less time and mindspace to devote to keeping up with the weekly books. These days all I REALLY go out of my way to read is Detective, Batman and Robin, Secret Six, Sirens, and Runaways (which I haven't read in about 3 months, oops). When Bruce gets back and Boringist Night ends, my readership will probably go up again.
All that said, I'm glad yall liked my contribution to the podcast this week, hopefully I'll do it again!
@AHR: Cool... So you're a Comic-fan at heart, but your work made you an Anime-fan and now you you like it!
Actually other than Digimon and Airbender I didn't watch a lot Anime until I was put up with AnimeVice... so I understand that! Because of it I haven't seen House, Bones, Fringe, and Lost in a really long time... Too busy watching Anime!
