Tony and Mat are at C2E2! They talk about this week's news and discuss this week's comics while recording a late episode! Be thrilled and excited with both hosts in the same room at the same time!
Matt's comments about Superman almost made me turn off the podcast, then I realised that it doesn't change my opinion and I don't need to care but it's still very Irksome. Plus those comments have no merit, just throwing that out there for my own peace of mind.

That lip smacking should be the Tony soundbite, like the Corey "Ha!"
Ooh. How about a new mashup song with the Corey Ha, Matt's imitation of the Corey Ha (the one that sounds like a dying seabird), and Tony's diggum lip smacks... :)
@themantisshrimp: I have personally been getting into Superman alot lately,Geoff Johns New 52 run really got me to enjoy him alot and I love stories like Unchained,Red Sun,and just how he is in general and handles different situations, especially All-Star Superman!

kinda same. I wasn;t into Superman at all. Didn't even like All Star Superman( WHich a lot of people say is the ultimate Superman story).
I love and actually hope they do go with that joker look ... you could say I'm a "big fan" ... honestly I'm not getting all the DC hate for their new movies which are not even out. It's a different direction than whats been automatically successful for Marvel and I look forward to it.

What did he say about SUperman?

I said on the surface, he's a one-dimensional character. They seem to be taking it out of the context of the discussion happening which was about the appeal of Batman and Superman on a superficial level.
But with the way some people get offended, you'd think I punched their mother at a dinner party, which has only happened once.

Same. I even started to write a response to him because I feel the complete opposite about Superman and Batman, but then I stopped and was like "I actually am just choosing to not care."
Man I can't wait for you guys to get back in the studio (at least Tony and Corey). I appreciate that you guys have made the extra effort to keep em' coming over the past few weeks though. There's one portion in this episode where Matt goes on a one minute long mini-rant that I'm sure is going to rustle a lot of jimmies.

If I said "you're wrong for liking Superman for these reasons," I'd be a giant moron and wrong. I have an unpopular opinion. Oh well. We all have them.
People need to remember that at the end of the day, my opinion about an overall fictional character (not his particular stories, or any specifics, just in general) don't matter and what makes the world great is that we discuss our likes and dislikes and if we don't come to an agreement, that's fine.
If you wanna throw tomatoes at me, go nuts. Just remember you could have eaten those tomatoes... They're delicious.
@inferiorego: I'm not one of the people overly mad about what you said regarding Superman but I will say that it is an understandable reaction from his fans. Plus, and I mean absolutely no disrespect by this, calling Superman two-dimensional is a lazy critique that is often made by people who have never read any of his comics. If that is how you feel, then you are entitled to that opinion, but maybe people are especially upset that you said that because they wouldn't expect that specific critique coming from you in particular.

Thanks for answering both emails. I guess those types of questions work better when you've read the book. I definitely recommend Garfield and his 9 lives. I'd always thought I'd Jim Davis as a one trick pony but that kind of shows a different side of him (9 sides actually).
