Everything is awesome as the podcast returns. Tony, Mat, and Corey attempt to dive through a gigantic stack of comics to find out what's going on in the wonderful world of comics.
@undeadpool: @g_man: Did a tour of Afghan and yes the press do wear body armor with press written on it just like the emergence personnel wear body armor with a red cross on it
What is it with comic book communities and them being super elitist? It should not matter if I love blank and you love blank at the end of the day we all love and buy comics. This industry is far to small to be divided like this.
@g_man: @inferiorego: @undeadpool: Great Podcast guys! Thanks, for trolling Mat for me, lol. He deserves for hating on Skrillex. :-X Anyways, I thought Lois Lane one-shot was awesome! I would have given it a 4/5, I just didn't like the fact the story was left unresolved due to chances of seeing this continued are very slim. Superior Spider-Man was pretty awesome too and I totally understand Mat's feeling on Cataclysm I hated it too, it had the final issue Bendis syndrome. Thanks for not spoiling all the comics guys, I've been backed up on everything due to another unfortunate passing. I read about Eric Stephenson speech, I agreed with majority of the things he said except about Transformers, GI Joe and Star Wars comics. Because those comics has massively improved those franchises to big and better things for fans and STORY. So they are the REAL THING. I don't know where's the rest where he bashes other comics. I guess I have keep digging elsewhere. Also, that word was suppose be "BRING" I think I somehow was typing too fast and forgot to edit. By the way, I love all you guys, even though I only met 3 of you, you are ALL COOL! Not only Gregg! So, don't be jealous! Lol
I can't believe I missed my opportunity to ask James questions. :-( Oh well, I had to be somewhere important. So, hopefully I will have another opportunity.
Holy crap! Enough with the stupid soundboards! I signed up for an account just to beg that you cut it out with that annoying, distracting, obnoxious FM morning talk show sound and music B.S.!!!

I think that people are making to much out of Stephenson's speech. It wasn't aimed at the fans saying buying superheros is wrong, it was aimed at the retailers saying only selling superheros is wrong.
Sorry, I meant will James be on THIS podcast next time ... next month. James being on this podcast was the reason I started listening to this podcast, so was looking forward to his return here. Nothing against the other podcast, just prefer the style/interaction here.
@ptsteelers: Fridays don't really work with his schedule. Also, spending an hour plus, talking about other books may not be the best use of his time. Just check out next week's podcast and see what you think.

Oh I will, no doubt. I understand completely, but as I enjoyed hearing his thoughts on other books, I'm just somewhat disappointed. All good though and I will see (hear) you guys Wednesday!
I for one largely agree with Eric's speech. But I still love DC and Marvel books and probably always will. Everyone needs to remember that he was talking to retailers, not customers. I'm convinced he has the best interest of the comics industry as a whole at heart. He was really just talking about how he thinks a lot of what is going on is not sustainable in the long term, which very we'll may be right. He may have gone a bit overboard with certain criticisms but given the audience I don't think he intended it to be read as personal attacks so much as business analysis and criticism. That's my two cents about it.
One more opinion, I think Tony is going overboard with sound bytes. They are usually funny but not so funny when they are used to interrupt people. I want to hear what Matt and Cory have to say too.
This has become the morning zoo of comic podcasts. Constant music, punchlines that make no sense followed by wacky sound clips. I'm giving up, maybe if @missj returns I'll try again, but this sophomoric humor does nothing for the medium
I don't know about the other Panini reprints but the Panini UK (formerly Marvel UK) Collectors' Edition's (started 1995 currently at 1356 issues) are 76 pages long (sometimes we get 100 page ones) which contain 3 reprints and currently has 7 titles: Astonshing Spider-Man [volume 4 ] (currently reprinting Superior Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider Minimum Carnage has just finished) Avengers Assemble [formerly The Avengers United / Avengers Unconquered] (just finished reprinting Avengers Vs. X-Men) Essential X-Men [volume 2] (about to finish Avengers Vs. X-Men) Incredible Hulks (Incredible Hulk and Hulk) Marvel Legends (Captain America, Invincible Iron Man and Mighty Thor) Mighty World of Marvel [volume 4] (Daredevil and Avengers Academy [soon to reprint Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers Arena) Wolverine and Deadpool [volume 2 formerly Wolverine Unleashed / Wolverine and Gambit] (Uncanny X-Force and Deadpool)
Astonishing Spider-Man is fortnightly the others are monthly.
Former titles were: Marvel Heroes Reborn and Fantastic Four Adventures.
@g_man: Wow, just reading the comments and man people sure get pissy about the music. (rolls eyes) Lol I think the music should be here to stay. It makes the podcast more fun.

@iceslick: I don't think people are pissy so much as bothered that the music interrupts the flow of the conversation and frequently played at less than ideal times.
I have kind of held my tongue in the past about the music/sound clips because I didn't want to be "that guy," but at this point I have to say that it really disrupts the podcast. I love you guys but over the last three episodes it just feels like the podcast is spiraling out of control. I like to hear your opinions on the comics that came out this week as well as the questions that are asked and not random music and soundboard clips. I mean no disrespect but this one was tough to get through.
@g_man: Please, please, Tony, listen to the posters who want an end to the constant musical interruptions. I find I'm not getting to the end of episodes lately as it's so annoying for you to be constantly derailing the actually-rather-fascinating commentary you three deliver when the focus is firmly on the subject of comics. It really does seem as if you're not actually interested in anyone else's opinions, being more interested in what you can play next on YouTube. It's way too ADHD, for me.
When your co-host, Mat, is asking you to quit it with the fannying about and you're just ignoring him, well, it gets kind of uncomfortable to listen to. I don't know, maybe it's actually some big joke between you all, but it certainly doesn't feel that way.
Also, I'm not sure all the testosterone is good for the show. Obviously, the excellent Jen is rather busy at the moment, but is there no other woman who could come in occasionally? Three guys together can lead to the podcast sounding like a frat party.
