Happy Birthday to us. It's been seven years so how about a podcast? Tony and Corey talk about some of this week's comic movie news, Doctor Who and a massive stack of comics from this week. And a little more Knight Rider as well.
@g_man One thing I wouldn't mind seeing with the Marvel Now renumbering, is if they would list a Vol Number with the renumber. I like that they are doing "restarts" with new creative teams or directions or even Big Arcs as it makes it MUCH easier for me to sort the issues and divide them by stories. So for example, the new Fantastic Four would be Marvel Now Vol 2. No. 1.
I dont understand why pepole say it's a risk making a movie about unknown comic characters. EVERY non-comic film is about unknown characters. Nobody knew Neo before the Matrix, nobody knew Luke Skywalker before Star Wars, nobody knew Riddick before Pitch Black.
I'm against Gal Gadot mostly because she doesn't have the look. It's nothing to do with her weight or build, but rather her overall appearance. She just doesn't look like Diana at all. Her acting is passable in the Fast and Furious movies, but I'm just not sure she can carry the character. I know Jamie Alexander is pretty much locked in the Marvel Universe as Sif, but she IMO has the PERFECT look to be Wonder Woman. I mean just look at that photo!
Either way it doesn't bother me overall as I didn't like Man of Steel at all and I am not liking the direction Snyder is controlling the DC cinematic universe. He's pretty much the last person I want guiding the DC univese.
So Tony you said that the 700.number issues should be something like 429.1 because of when it takes place. But what about Zero Year, that's taking place in the #20s but it's an origin story.
