When I said that Batman's brain was switched with Thomas Wayne's (in the Batman #14 question) I was joking, play on ASM 698 lol.

While I was reading that issue of Spider-Man I kept thinking wow thats out of character for Peter, and then after the revaluation I was like "OH!" And went back over it in my mind, everything was like that. Great issue. I hope its resolved quickly though.

I don't understand why some people just say flat out they hate Allred's art either. I love it. But everyone has different tastes. Having random people just flat out say I don't like this person's art is sort of like a level of popularity. I have heard "I hate Bendis." "I hate Alex Ross." just means that you are so well known, maybe. A positive spin on it.

I thought that joke about the Thing with Johny was so funny. I tried to show someone I know who doesn't read comics and had to explain and little and they didn't get it. But I thought it was great.

Sara, why do you hate Superman? Kidding.

It was suggested to me by Joe Kelly I think it was to try to go out for Comics based on cartoon shows, like the Adventures of Batman the Animated Series.

I told my Dad about the Days of Futures Past movie and my Dad says "Eh, it was all garbage anyway. It was bad from the beginning."

Speaking of loud neighbors keeping you up, when I was in college living in a rented house with other students one of our neighbors was playing "And She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5 on a loud, LOUD, endless loop. Mind you I hated Maroon 5 to begin with, but that was torture almost. And we had just moved in so our TV was out and I had no computer and no where to go and nothing to do, so I just went to sleep to get away from the loud music.

Nice to see the podcast go up. I was actually a bit worried something bad may have happened or someone got sick. Glad to know it was just a scheduling issue. I kind of regret asking so many questions this week, but you never got around to them. Oh well. lol I will never complain about Sara talking about her dog.

I don't know about the path the X-Men are taking. It feels as if they should be doing less of trying to stop Cyclops and more actually trying to help mutants. I know they don't agree with his actions and that he's finding mutants faster than they can, but what gives them the right to say they're the only mutant saving gang in town?

I heard about what's going on in SPIDER-MAN 698 and saw the preview of 700. The art looked great in that preview. I want to get all irate, but Slott has said it's 700 that's the big one. I want to hold off any criticism until that's been revealed. Despite my love for Humberto Ramos' art. I have zero interest in a darker Spider-man. Not every character should be Batman.

Who has ever said Sara hates Superman? I gues I should go and read the comments on that review. You can be critical and still like something. She has a valid point. I really don't understand where Lois gets this sense that she can tell Clark what he needs to do. On the other hand, every time Superman does something really creepy. Just him saying he should feel guilty about it isn't an excuse. That's the equivalent of starting a sentence with "No offense, but -". I didn't like the whole conversation they were having in the preview. Probably because some of it reminded me too much of high school.

Ann Noceti, step away from CATWOMAN, please!! Fred Perry does an amazing job with his primary female cast in GOLD DIGGER. I'd love to see what he could do with Catwoman, but he's busy enough on his own titles at Antarctic Press.

There's been discrepancies between the original X-MEN movies and FIRST CLASS stories since beginning. When you consider the very make up of the actual first class. I would be extraordinarily happy if they would reverse what they had done to Emma in FIRST CLASS. That's one of the reasons why I wont watch that movie.

About Liberalism and Artists

As an artist myself. We are more traditionally left leaning. I believe it has a lot more to do with that art is about freedom of expression. You look at conservative philosophy - at least how they are currently - being more about repression of ideas and censorship. Censorship is basically the antithesis of art. I wouldn't say I'm incredibly liberal. I have the highest regard for the military, and I also believe in gun rights. A person should be able to own one if they can show they can be responsible with it. The same way we do with cars. I'm also a person who is big on a civil rights, equality, and self expression. Even if I disagree with a position someone has. I also believe they have the right to express them self, as long as they aren't hurting or forcing others.

I look at how conservatives treat immigrant and homosexual rights, and it just reminds me of the Civil Rights era. Separate but equal is a fallacy They want to treat them as criminals rather than finding a solution. They go on and on about their praise for the Constitution, but want to ignore the parts when it becomes inconvenient for them - - such as the Fourteenth Amendment.

Did you really need to quote my entire post for a three sentence reply? When was the last time you've heard the right-wing oppose conservatism beliefs? They've built their platform on those issues for the past fifty years.

When art is based around freedom of expression, but conservatism is more about censorship. Those are just two forces that don't mix well. It's not just in comics, but conservatism has dropped in nearly all forms of media. That could be explained that society is becoming more liberal. It was only four years ago that polls showed support for gay marriage to be low, but it's been on the rise.

I don't know much about Chuck Dixon, but I don't think you could label Frank Miller as conservative or liberal. The man has some seriously racist issues with Islam, which would explain his passion for the Iraq War; but he also doesn't think much of people like Jerry Falwell. He's called him in interviews an "evil person" and compared him to the KKK.

Creating stricter laws is not a solution to fixing a problem. Conservatives don't want to just make more harsh laws. They have called for the repeal of the "Fourteenth Amendment". They also want to alter the Constitution to ban gay marriage not based on any legal reasoning, but based upon biblical dogma. Which is in blatant violation of the First Amendment. For people who I constantly hear how much they love the Constitution. They sure seem to want to alter it a lot.

For one point. Rather than "objectify", I believe you mean "generalize". =) I never claimed to know what all Republicans believe, but I follow quite closely what the elected leaders say.

I have not cared about Spider-Man since after one more day. After reading the spoiled panel of The Amazing Spider-Man #698 , I REALLY do not care anymore.

You guys did not figure out that the Red skull clone had the brain of Charles Xavier? He mind controlled Wanda into considering decimation.

Also I totally disagree about Cassaday's art, it did not felt rushed at all. Cassadays' art continues to be astonishing.

Posted by longbowhunter

I was pretty ok with Cassaday's art....until I saw Thor with no eyebrows.

Sarah mentioned Red Son, I'm currently re-reading that. Totally forgot how great that story is!

Loved the podcasts this week. Keep it up. Corey dont be a stranger.

A. sorry i was posting on my phone .

B.conservatives very much for uncensorship in this PC media world. Again, opposing gay marraige is more of a right wing thing. And no one wants to destroy the consitution on the conservative side. The liberals are the ones that want to alter the constitution. Like taking away to bare arms.

Thanks for answering my questions about the Wasp and about Commissions. I was expecting the commission question to end up being one of those questions you would have trouble answering, like when a person asks who would you cast in a movie. But I was pleasantly surprised to hear you guys had real thoughtful answers. And I was just really shocked that Wasp was killed off and dead for a while now and just suddenly comes back without a big story to go with it. But I am glad to hear there isn't much I would have to get to catch up.

Oh, and I asked a few other questions, About Longshot and Shatterstar, and two others which I suppose were more like comments. Should I repost them? Actually, what do we do with our questions that weren't asked? Do we repost them? Quote them to show they were previously posted but not asked, or just leave them because you might get back to them later?

Tony's dislike for Thor:God of Thunder is killing me.It's one of the best Marvel Now titles and he's dissing it and leaves it for a brief next to last review.Thank God for Sara to give it as much credit as she can!

One of the reasons I dont like Ms. Thing is because she could have been replace by an actual hero thats not recieving "air time" in Marvel Now

I live in Kentucky. I do know what the Conservatively heavy state does about cencorship. It's illegal in KY for me, an adult, to order pornographic movies online and have it delivered to my home.

Conservative leaders keep trying to call the US a Christian nation. Despite the First Amendment saying, " Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof-". Then there were the Conservative leaders opposing the building of the Islamic cultural center in NY.
Let's also not forget wanting to remove birthright citizen ships from the Fourteenth Amendment, recently they've called for repeal of parts of the Voting Rights Act, and want to ban gay marriage in the Constitution for religious beliefs. They want to tell women what they can or can't do with their own bodies, but wont even support the Equal Pay Act. You call that support for freedom of expression?

If all you have is Second Amendment complaints, you're going to have to do better, Obama extended gun rights in his previous four years.

Hello,

I agree with you all about the Before Watchmen Seires'. I read alot of forums and liseten to many podcasts, yet I have heard very little about Before Watchmen being discussed. I have yet to read a single issue (will power). I'm one of those readers who ordred all the Before Watchmen miniseries and plan on sitting down and reading them straight through. My reasoning being, I feel I will enjoy the stories more when I submerge myself entirely in the Watchmen universe. Hopefully its a great read, however I have been hearing mixed reviews about this series overall.

@BIGALWILLIAMS: Again you're completely missing the point. I've not once said I dislike it. No reason to put words in my mouth. Just because it wasn't my all time favorite comic of the week doesn't mean I "disliked" it.

I know this is late, but when it comes to Aquaman, I would like to commit. I love this comics. I the art was good but I thought the other artist were better, but they did do a good job with making it look like water.

When it comes to Ocean Master art. I know that you can see him in the cover, but while you read this story it really works to have him cast in shadows. It connects the mystery of Ocean Masters plots. Currently, we (the reader) don't know Orm is plot and intent is hidden (in the shadows).

Is he the one that is working with Black Mantis, or someone else. Is he involved with Aquawoman's father and that whole plot to kill Aquaman, or is someone else pulling the strings. Also as readers we are still trying to figure out Aquaman and Orm relationship.

He is a mystery his intents are hidden from the readers both literally and figuratively (as he is in the shadows). So I appreciated that aspect in the art. Don't for get what Hitchcock pointed out that some times the more interesting situations are brought out by not what the audience see, but what they don't see.

I don't like Mike Allred.. His style is just not pleasing to my eyes.. It's just very weird style. I can't even read any books he is the artist on..
