The Comic Vine Weekly Podcast returns. It's over three hours of comic book podcasting since so many titles were released. All that, answers to your questions and a special message.
I'll miss Sarah. I'll forgo filling the void of explanation with wild conspiracy theories, and just hope the best for her. She's still really young, and hopefully has learned from the Comic Vine experience. Good luck to ye Sarah Babs Lima!
O_O Gahhhh Sara was only on for just under 4 minutes T_____T Sadness. Well at least the podcast is over 3hrs as a plus because I need something to listen to till Tony's next podcast pops up. Geez I'm such a comicvine junkie lol
The society leader was confirmed as The Outsider (if that's his name, from Flashpoint).Although,we don't know his origin ("Joker would be proud" And something about "his world dying")
The main aim of the game was to be fun, which it accomplished.
I just don't like that it basically made DP seem like an annoying Meme-spewing joke-character.
And the character "histories" meant for those ignorant and clueless of the comics isn't really the history of the characters....it is really oversimplified and only gives you a crumb of information.
I mean honestly,it's for idiots that think that Flash belongs to Marvel...people who know little to nothing of comics..While I don't expect them to know of comics, the ignorance is still staggering...like this guy I knew that said "Injustice GAU was originally made/developed by Marvel"....It was staggering.Even since he doesn't understand the fundamentals of copyright.Even since he,as said, was completely ignorant.
And DP doesn't curse every other sentence....and kinda degrading. And the voices are annoying.
And the graphics were REALLY tacky...
I mean, most of it was hilarious to say at the least, and I'm sad for the doggy,but.....
and again, they didn't really catch the dark aspect of the character, just the fun side....
and again, the histories were barely even history. They barely covered even the surface of the character, they barely even cover anything, but I guess they're just supposed to be little pieces of information....I like the images they used,though....And I LOVED wolverine's design.
I haven't listened to the podcast yet, but I'm already bummed that Sara is leaving. I really enjoy her voice on the show and will miss her immensely. Will Jen be taking her place?
I think Captain America is a little above Peak Human. It's like Borderline low-level Superhuman and Peak Human.
People constantly say PIS (and use it incorrectly,I mean kicking Spectre and harming Hulk IS Plot induced Stupidity. However, many other things are not..it's just you underestimating him.And they even underestimate and miscategorize Captain America sometimes to the point that it's,well, facepalm worthy. At most he can lift 2 tons...but people only make it seem as if he can only lift 200 pounds and that's a gross underestimate. And that's what people do and sometimes even Marvel.com when he HAS done far more than enough feats to disprove that and many other things.)So I think that he is sorta borderline low level Superhuman and Peak Human, but mostly in the Peak Human range. On Marvel wiki, they have him at like a 3 and that is Peak Human...a 4 is 800-25 ton range...and Captain America's strength (and few other characters like him) is far above 800 lbs. It's generally known to be 2 tons at most and that's it...I agree with that, but people greatly underestimate him. They even misuse PIS (I wouldn't be surprised if they called PIS if he can lift a tiny rock no greater than 20 lbs)...
I also think that Batman is in the same league as him,but Cap is stronger....
I kinda figured Sara's moving to the East coast meant she'd be leaving soon. You will greatly be missed Babs! You were the voice of reason when Tony and Corey were blabbing their sometimes outrageous opinions! Thinking about is actually making me really sad....NOOOO SARA!!!!!!!
@cameron83: On Cartoon Network, when the end credits roll, they zoom out, mute the sound and show what's coming next. I've never heard the song until I watched them on Blu-ray. Although I did discover, when watching with my nephew, that they play the song on Netflix too.
Wow that video is pretty terrible....awesome costume..but that something I can't see Cyclops doing to a normal human..that's pretty pathetic. By the way, awesome podcast, thanks for finally answering my questions and now I'm crying (not really, but I wish) to see Sara go. :,-(
Hi guys! Both of you -- Tony and Corey -- seem continually confused about how to pronounce Constantine. It's Con-stan-teen. I've never heard anyone pronounce it Con-stan-t-eye-n, and it sounds awkward and unnatural when you do it. For the record, it was pronounced Con-stan-teen in the movie (trailer attached). You can put this one to bed already. :-)
@danaandra: I agree with you, but just to play devil's advocate, the other pronunciation is how Alan Moore said it was pronounced, which is the basis of that argument.
