Plastic Man Is Coming To DVD!

The Plastic Man cartoon was my first exposure to the character as a child.  I still recall this wacky character that resembled Mr. Fantastic (who I was more familiar with) but wasn't as stiff as him (despite both being stretchy characters).  I got word yesterday about this upcoming release.

The press release says that all 35 episodes will be included in the 4-disc set (clocking in at a whopping 588 minutes).  I wonder if those episodes include the (ugh) ones with Plastic Baby.  Was there really a Plastic Baby?  Is it too much to hope that the idea is just some warped and twisted memory that didn't actually happen in the cartoon?

Also, keep in mind, the suggest retail price is just that, the suggested one.  You should be able to find it cheaper.  It comes out in September so start saving up for it now!

He's really been a hoot, laugh-riot on Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Plas and this new Blue Beetle.

But wait, look at the box art, claiming that Plastic Man is an original member of the Justice League? Didn't know that retconning was going on outside of comic books...

Maybe I was cooler in a previous, alternate iteration...

Ah..the Plastic Man cartoon.   So, so, so Plas-Craptastic, Plas-Baby.  Plastic Baby.  Yup, right up there with Bat-Mite and Snarf.  The old days....I loves me Plastic Man, actually, but I HATE his frikkin' costume!!!!!!!!     It is sooooo.....eerrr...dare I say it....."masculinely challenged".   While the Plastic Man cartoon was just over the top,  his presence in the comics has been far more serious.  After all, he has ties to Batman, and it was demonstrated he is virtually invulnerable, if not possibly being close to immortal.  I veer off, but Plastic Man on DVD--hey, why not?   At least it isn't The Snorkels or whatever those things were.   *ugh*

Wow... of all the 80's cartoons to resurface... I never thought I'd see that again!  I remember when DC's action figures were starting to come out & Plastic Man was one of the first wave.  They boasted something like a whole 8 points of articulation... pretty stiff for Plastic Man.
