Not the best, but still good...

Like every issue of Planetary, this is a love letter to a specific sub-genre. This issue pays tribute to the now classic british comics of the 80'es. "Not John Constantine" was killed by a superhero whose life has been ruined (rewamped) by the powers that be.  NJC's is attended by his close friends "Not Swamp Thing" and "Not Animal Man". The story is solid and feels very true to the material that inspired it. It does however feel like one of the more pointless stories (like say, issue 2) as it does not add much to the overarcing story (unlike issue 2). But still it adds to the ever growing mythology of Planetary and tell a good story. It is worth reading if you are a fan of either the source material  or Planetary you will like it, but I would not recommend it as an introduction to the series...
