Pixie is a fairy-winged mutant who can cause those exposed to her dust to experience hallucinations. Her powers also includes teleportation.
A former X-Men student, she is now part of the Legion of X.
From what I heard about the spoilers, her father is Eight Feet tall and yellow, but I'm having trouble remembering any villians that were like that. It ring a bell to anyone?
There's one theory, but I'm not convinced. Still... if Pixie is Welsh, then shouldn't that narrow it down. How many big yellow Welsh characters are there??

Hmmm... they all share an illusion inducing power though. But i thought her dad was supposed to be a tall yellow demon? Maybe that was an illusion as well.

im going to be kind of let down if it ends up being Azazel. just saying, magic background, teleportation, Nightcrawler was focused on in the issue, some of Pixies features, her experiances in Limbo. just saying. that would be way to cliche'.

I knew that he used his powers to seduce women, so it doesn't surprise me that he has a lot of children... But I can't imagine him going all the way to Wales for a bit of pink-haired nookie. And how come all of his kids are girls? ;p
meh. still as disappointing for me. a comic unveils that the characters parent is...one of the teams classic villains. in fact im going to post that in the Cliches Im Tired Of Seeing thread. lol.

Well, nothing is known about Mastermind's life before joining the Brotherhood. For a character who's been around 40+ years, he's still a mystery. I was introduced to the character during the whole Phoenix/Dark Phoenix storyline and have always assumed he was British to begin with. So jaunting over to Wales to seduce a woman wouldn't be too out of the way. Especially if his other children were raised in England, Martinique did first appear in a story set in London, after all.

I'll admit that I don't know mych about his other two daughters. I'm read scraps of stories with them in, but there's still a sizeable gap I need to fill from my recent comic-less years. So I didn't know that they were British. However, I always read it as if he was American.

Well, according to Marvel.com, only Martinique's birthplace has been revealed - it's Wimbledon Village, London, England and she has U.K. citizenship. Neither of Regan's birthplace or citizenship has been revealed nor has Mastermind's. Pixie, of course, has a UK citizenship and was born in the fictional mining town of Abergylid, Wales.
I'm ok with this. but masterminds other girls are more similar, and there seems to be a gap, but whatever. Who cares decimation, lets just introduce more mutants like pixies mom, who seems like a B****
How much more can this girl take? I mean first she lost a bit of her soul, the she got attacked by the hellfire cult, then Magik came back for round 2 and now her "dead father" wasn't really her father after all and it turns out her real father was a villian who was instrumental in releasing the dark phoenix...

It makes sense that Mastermind would have a third daughter, since the whole idea behind it was taken from King Leer.
To make a long story short without giving too much away, it goes something like this: "Lear, who is elderly, wants to retire from power. He decides to divide his realm among his three daughters, and offers the largest share to the one who loves him best. Goneril and Regan both proclaim in fulsome terms that they love him more than anything in the world, which pleases him. Cordelia speaks temperately, honestly but bluntly which annoys him. In his anger he disinherits her, and divides the kingdom between the other two." - wiki
Sounds pretty familiar, right? Everyone knows Regan and Martinique despise each other because each want to fulfill his legacy and carry the Mastermind name. They both follow in his footsteps (Regan - Hellfire Club, Martinique - Brotherhood), so it makes sense why someone like Gywnn (in all aspects) is the reject one. I love the Mastermind sisters to bits, especially Regan/Lady Mastermind- but Megan/Pixie just doesn't fit in at all! I get that he could have a third daughter, and think that's a cool idea, but Megan Gwynn, of *all* people? It doesn't even make sense, and there's way too many holes in that timeline. I feel like they really blew a really cool opportunity for a plot twist on this one, and wasted it on Pixie I thought Pixie already had a Dad who died in a mine or some shit? God, I hate marvel sometimes for this very reason.
I still can't believe this they must be playing around with the fans. I mean come on wouldn't Emma of all people know a mind signature of her old associate? wouldn't wolverine smell it this just seems like some cheap ploy by the writers to make Pixie a part of X-History. Either way I blame fraction.

Wolverine could smell the scent he picked up that Graydon creed was Sabertooths son. And with Emma she could have just scanned her or maybe picked up something in her mind from her mom. Anythings plausible look at this fiasco.

We don't know that Pixie has ever met Mastermind, so how would Pixie have his scent?
Same with Emma, Assuming Mastermind knows about Pixie and even held her, chances are her brain was not at the point of development where she would have rememvered it, so Emma scanning her mind would have come up blank. Also, Pixie's mom is a new character who hasn't ever met Emma, soooo there goes that.
And her Pixie dust could have been confusing both of those. If Pixie's mom is a fairy or something then that could be messing up 'genetic scent' or 'mental patterns'. I'm hoping she's related to Tink from Pete Wisdom's Max series.
