    Pixie is a fairy-winged mutant who can cause those exposed to her dust to experience hallucinations. Her powers also includes teleportation. A former X-Men student, she is now part of the Legion of X.

    How Did She Become Known?

    As I remeber Pixie wasn't this well known before, she used to be just a background character. How did she become more famous than the New X-Men characters?

    I forget the name of the writer, but i'm sure when Uncanny x-men 500 started that he just wanted to have a less known character become well.. more known, and she's actually a really useful character now, since she could teleport to wherever.

    While i despise Matt Fraction, I have to thank him for thrusting Pixie to the forefront of the X-men. She's been present in many of his stories since he took on the title.

    It started back when Kyle & Yost included her in the Quest for Magik storyline.  They took an otherwise vacuous but cute character and gave her depth. 
     
    However, Matt Fraction wrote her as an 18 year old started to use her in his stories & Greg Land drew her as a porn star.  Both of which were completely wrong for the character.

    Yea the limbo storyline it what put her over the top. Her magic ability made her more useful for the team. Besides there always needs to be a young feisty girl on the X-Men...it is almost a precedant. :P
     
     I personally would like to see Cipher become the new Pixie.
