The Good
Ok so theres alot to say about this movie but lets start with the good. First off the movie definitely changes the pace of the classic pirate movies. I mean really how many pirate movies are this fast paced, but also manage to maintain a great story that would carry into successful sequels. Furthermore I felt that the movie did an excellent job of combining seriousness with comedy. I personally enjoyed that about this film. I felt that it was a movie that was made at just the right time. Even now it (and the series in general) stand out in uniqueness because unlike superhero movies you don't have every wanna be director attempting to make pirate movies.
The Bad
Though I have few complaints I do have them. For the most part it had to do with actors, I found at times I could hardly believe Kiara as she would talk, and at some times I found her even somewhat ignorant in her acting. Finally I also felt that there were some times when the movie slowed down unbearably.
The Verdict
Personally I enjoyed the movie and I give it a 3 out 4 stars. I do admit that its been awhile since I've sat and analyzed the movie and this is probably not my best review and in fact I might comeback later and redo it, but as it stands now this is my opinion.
