A few nights before Halloween, Kreskin and Pierce go on a vandalism spree. All is going well until they hit a house that they think is empty but really is owned by a man waiting for pumpkin smashers. The man rushes them with a baseball bat and they narrowly escape down an alley. The men aren't safe, however, as two ghoulish jack-o-lanterns spirit them away.
Kreskin and Pierce are brought before Raven Hex. They learn that they are to do a task for her in exchange for their lives. They are to find the body of a dead girl in the Salem Woods Cemetery and bring it to Raven Hex. They hire a man to dig the grave and soon have the casket unearthed. Before they can take the body, the men are accosted by the Skeleton Man. Kreskin tries to fight but gets thoroughly beaten by the Skeleton Man, who then calls on the ghosts of the graveyard to watch the two while he chases down the grave digger (who now has the body). After being tormented all night, the Skeleton Man allows the ghosts to release Kreskin and his friend. The two men flee for their lives.
