Born in Paris in 1968, Philippe Aymond holds a master's degree in plastic arts from the University of Paris I. In 1987, he met Coutelis who introduced him to the basics of realistic comics. In 1989, he made his debut alongside Chapelle and Labiano on the Canal Choc series (4 volumes published by Humanoïde Associés) written by Pierre Christin and supervised by Jean-Claude Mézières. He joined Dargaud editions in 1994 for The Man Who Goes Around the World, with Cabanes and Christin, then Les Voleurs de ville and the Les 4x4 series with Christin. In 2000, he began a double collaboration with screenwriter Laurent-Frédéric Bollée, as colorist on the A.D. Grand-Rivière series (designed by Coutelis) and as designer on the Apocalypse Mania series. In 2003 Jean Van Hamme chose him to draw his new series, entitled Lady S, published by Dupuis. He has continued this series alone ever since. This will be followed by Highlands, his first complete author's work.
