Very dark. I wonder what his inspiration for this was?

The inspiration was "Positively 4th Street" by Bob Dylan.

Yeah, Alan always dots every "i" and crosses every "t"...unlike some people.

It's very interesting seeing one of these done in true comic format. The lyrics and panels mesh incredibly well together.

The next one, ANOTHER SUBURBAN ROMANCE, is in comic book format as well...with MY lettering.

And actually the version that I will be posting, is not the final. It has notes from the editor about corrections in the script that I needed to do.

@Roxanne Starr: that art in this one really reminds me of some of the darker Batman and Swamp Things I used to read.

    WHOA!

I just went to Ken Meyer Jr.'s page and there's nothing there about the guy. I never knew him, so I can't really help.

He was the artist who illustrated the first AM Songbook song, Another Suburban Romance and nobody's ever heard of him.

I'll send you that Ken Meyer song later, but I really have to have a few minutes to write an explanation for this one.

It is not well done, and there are reasons...not the least of which is that contrary to Madame October, I wasn't around to do the art direction on this one.

I'm sure I still have copies of the artwork for at least a couple more of Alan Moore's songs, but I don't know if I'll have time to look for them before DragonCon.

Guests from out-of-town will be staying with my friends all over Atlanta, but I'm still going to have to tidy up the condo in case someone decides that he or she would like to meet Velcro.  :D

    O.K., Hawkeye...DragonCon update:

Tony's flight will be landing in Atlanta too late at night for me to deal with, so he gets to spend his first night here at...

    ...DUN DUN DUN...

Bob's Moon and Serpent Grand Egyptian Theatre of Marbles.  :D
