Well I guess it depends how you define black. Phastos is an Eternal and a Third Generation Eternal so over a couple of millennia old. He does appear to have darker pigmentation than other Eternals, but how or why? Then again Eternals have control over their molecular structure so maybe he chose to be darker? Could also just be artist interpretation oversight and so on. Sorry that doesn't help much.
