    Let's admit it.  I'm a bit of a nerd.  I like Greek mythology.  I used to look up Greek mythology in high school for fun.  For fun.  It's sad I know, but I liked the premise of the movie (with the Greek gods alive and their offspring still among us).  I haven't read any of the Percy Jackson books, though after this movie I think I might.  Let's get on with the review:  The Good:Casting:  Logan Lerman did a great job as the title character.  He's charismatic and pretty funny.  Brandon T.     Fun times to be had 0

    An easy film to enjoy, this may be the definition of a popcorn movie. It is fun and entertaining with no real nutritional value. The acting by the adults in the movie is on a different plane than that of the kids. Thankfully, we spend more time whith the poorly skilled kids. That is really my only complaint. I am not going to rip the movie for its new version of mythology. Although a fire breathing Hydra? Really? It's a fun movie that does not take itself seriously, whose bad guy is introduced ...

    smug little brat 0

    I love mythology, especially Greek mythology. But what I couldn't stomach about this was how smug the kid playing Percy Jackson was. These kids have been training for awhile, some of them for years. Some of these kids are the offspring of war-gods/goddesses. BUT the son of the sea-god is immediately a better fighter and better strategist than all of them? D'oh!...
