Let's admit it.  I'm a bit of a nerd.  I like Greek mythology.  I used to look up Greek mythology in high school for fun.  For fun.  It's sad I know, but I liked the premise of the movie (with the Greek gods alive and their offspring still among us).  I haven't read any of the Percy Jackson books, though after this movie I think I might.  Let's get on with the review:  The Good:Casting:  Logan Lerman did a great job as the title character.  He's charismatic and pretty funny.  Brandon T. An easy film to enjoy, this may be the definition of a popcorn movie. It is fun and entertaining with no real nutritional value. The acting by the adults in the movie is on a different plane than that of the kids. Thankfully, we spend more time whith the poorly skilled kids. That is really my only complaint. I am not going to rip the movie for its new version of mythology. Although a fire breathing Hydra? Really? It's a fun movie that does not take itself seriously, whose bad guy is introduced ...
