Paydirt is an Initiative member that serves on Hawaii's superhero team called the Point Men. Paydirt and Star Sign greet Delroy, the new 3-D Man when he comes to Hawaii. They introduce him to their other members, Devil-Slayer and Magnitude. A fight breaks out when 3-D Man discovers that Magnitude is actually a super Skrull that has infiltrated the team. The Magnitude Skrull torches Paydirt with a flame blast and is severely injured. The Skrull is killed by 3-D Man and Devil-Slayer places Paydirt and Star Sign within the dimensional folds of his shadow cloak until he can take them to a hospital.

Steve Rogers informs
Prodigy of the unknown meteors that have fallen from the heavens and mass panic is on the horizon. Rogers asks Prodigy to gather heroes on a volunteer basis to help keep the peace and lead a new Initiative where there is no forced conscription or registration. Prodigy agrees to become the leader of the new Initiative and most of the former Initiative members including Paydirt gather in Washington DC.
Powers and Abilities: Paydirt has excellent control of his dirt particle powers.
