    Avenger - a story from Eagle comic that ran for 26 episodes between issue 259 to 284.

    Written by Tom Tully (under the pseudonym 'W.Steele') and illustrated by Mike Western. Avenger followed the exploits of British school teacher Paul Cannon as he becomes the bike riding vigilante 'Avenger'.

    Later chapters introduce his arch-enemy Ultra-Man, who he fights (and beats) in the last episode of the series.
