Rudy Jones was a janitor that had gotten mixed up with people stealing chemicals from Star labs. Being chased by Superman the two men in the driver and passenger seats were speeding having him in the outside open part of the truck. He fell into a batch of unknown chemicals. Rudy begging for help was thrown from out the car into a river. As a result he became the Parasite.
