Wake from the Dream
The experience of reading this issue was off the charts, it was excitement from page one to the last, proving that the writers (Jim Krueger and Alex Ross) have control of all the aspects of this arc story (sure, it hit a few bumps, but again, that´s normal in a 12 issues series). I was very impressed by the story of Daredevil, told by Aaron in a fashion of dicotomy and dualism that put Matt both in sides of the angels and the devils: it´s not a world of black and white that we live, instead the grey dominates everything. That message is also transmitted by Kingpin´s actions, that even in dead is trying to control everyone, and his plans are being jeopardized by Castle´s frenzy of proving to everyone that they´re dead...by killing them again and again. The best thing in this issue though, was seeing the plan of Captain America, the Host of Angels and Kyle come together as something real, as something concrete to stop Mar-Vell´s Paradise. Also, now I understant the importance of King Britain for Mephisto´s plans, proving that all the ideas put in place by the writers have a meaning, have a link, tying up all together. The art was awesome in this issue, like all the dialogues and the narrative. I´ll wrap it up with a sentence that finishes this issue by Lemony Snicket: "I hope, for your sake, that you have not chosen to read this book because you are in the mood for a pleasant experience." Highly recommended.
