Since the final issue of FLASHPOINT and all the first #1s of DC's New 52 comics, we've been wondering who Pandora is, the mysterious pink lady. We've had a few glimpses of her, particularly in last year's New 52 FREE COMIC BOOK DAY issue. With the Trinity War event coming up, our need for questions has increased. Looks like this June we may start getting more answers.

Today at Emerald City Comicon, DC Comics announced a new ongoing series beginning in June -- TRINITY OF SIN: PANDORA.

The series will be written by Ray Fawkes and feature art by Daniel Sampere. Fawkes has become attached to more and more DC series including CONSTANTINE.

We'll have to wait for more information about the series and what we could expect.

Does anyone like Pandora enough for her to have her own ongoing?

Sweet. With the Trinity War looming this is bound to be important.

With Phantom Stranger and now this, I wonder if a Question series is soon to turn up.

Interesting, I may pick this up though I'll wait for more details before I decide for sure.

With tying her to the mythological Pandora, this is a series that could go in a lot of directions and would have a lot of material to pull from. It could be really good, but then again so was Sword of Sorcery and that got the ziggy.

I agree that it seems better for a backup, or even a mini that leads into Trinity War. But an ongoing? DC is putting a lot of eggs in one basket on this one. Don't know Phantom Strangers numbers, but maybe it's doing better than they anticipated. Hell, why not make it an ongoing of all 3 in 1?

Well there is a Phantom Stranger book and now one for Pandora. Where's my damn Question ongoing?

Because if it was to say reg. size book. You would be looking 8-10 pages each so essentially 3 backups. That means you would have to make it a quarterly and those do not have a great track record on the stand.

Now this will be a very very interesting read

they keep giving all of these lesser known characters their own ongoings and yet all of us are begging for Wally, Donna, Steph, and Cass to come back and they just won't do it...just doesn't seem right

I will actually check this series out. All that's left is a Question series.

@danhimself: They've obviously got plans for those characters, they want to sell books so there not going to be holding them back just to piss people off.

I hope that when Question gets his own ongoing (I assume that they're gonna do it) he's somewhat alike to his pre-Flashpoint counterpart, despite his new supernatural roots.

I love Pandora! I will definitely give this series a chance.

So they cancelled three of the series I'm following, and continue to announce replacements I have no interest in. Fantastic.

There is no direct correlation between a book being cancelled and a new one starting up. I.E-They are not cancelling Death Stroke to make room for Pandora. They cancelled it because of poor sales and interest. There will always be an ebb and flow of new books to the lineup, to appeal to the wide array of readers out there and introduce us to new characters other people besides yourself might be interested in.

Demon knights hasnt been cancelled

@Avenging-X-Bolt: Six books were canceled in May, and three have been officially announced (Larfleeze, Pandora, Batman/Superman), leaving three more that haven't been officially announced yet (Although one of them will definitely be the new Superman book by Snyder and Lee).

When will the Question have his own series?

I just wanted to see this and say....Not buying and not interested

Was anyone asking for a Red Robin, Cassandra Cain Batgirl or Martian Manhunter book before they had their first ongoing? All the characters people are asking for already had their chance before. Why kneecap the new guys? Otherwise, why introduce new characters if all people want is the same old stuff created decades ago?

Then we get the Movement and Green Team (2)

Batman/Superman, Larfleeze, Pandora (5)

Snyder/Lee's Superman book? (6)

You guys are all saying the same thing over and over again.

Why is everyone so closed-minded? You've learned to love the characters you're asking for, but you won't try to explore and learn to love more characters?

Am I the only one that doesn't buy a book just because of the characters in it? Sometimes I think that I am a rare breed when I don't feel like I should be.

Another reason I hate this rotten dumbed-down society.

Doesn't this series come a little bit too late? 
What I couldn't understand at the end of 2011 was Pandora making an appearance in all the #1s without any further explanation. Back then, an ongoing or a back up in whatever other title would have made so much sense. I'm not saying, this new series is pointless at this point but why waiting until middle of 2013? Who makes these decisions at DC? Who's idea was it to create Pandora as a character, let her show up in Flashpoint and the #1s, just to let her disappear for that long? The whole New52 (Universe) could have been planned and laid out in a smarter way... imho
 
Most of the new series coming up this May/June sound very interesting. Lets hope Pandora's ongoing will live up to its expectations. Again, we've been waiting for almost 2 years for this to happen.

shes new, I'm down for anything if it has a good story and DC has been building up to the trinity wars crossover for a while, I am expecting it to be great.

dont get me wrong i like phantom stranger but they should have done this instead of his solo title and called it "trinity of sin" and focus on all three not just pandora or stranger. they could flush out their origins and purpose in the new 52. would prefer a mini series but with the way dc cancels stuff their books are pretty much all minis
