No More Painkiller
The cover price for this book was 25 cents. Finally I have read a Painkiller Jane book that was worth what I paid for. Obviously I didn't like the issue. The characters in the book are again just dumb enough to fall for everything that comes down the line.
The police are the worst in this book. A depiction of a crooked cop would be more flattering then these knuckle heads. It was if you had the cops from the Dukes of Hazzard bugling around in a tremendously violent situation.
Then the hero of the book Painkiller Jane was almost as bad. She has her pants off and her panties pulled below her cheeks while she is getting a butt tattoo. "Classy" She again saves no one in this book. She may have even inadvertently killed innocent people by indirectly blowing up three floors of the building. This bothers me because after she became Painkiller she hasn't saved one person in all of the books I read about her. She kills lots of people "bad guys" but she has never prevented one person from being killed as Painkiller besides herself.
Again I have read several Painkiller books as I bought them all at the same time. I thought she had a neat look and I liked her name but as we all know you cannot judge a book by the cover. The best Painkiller book I have read was mediocre. This one was terrible. Other than seeing her butt (if that is something your looking for) this comic offered nothing.
I gave the book one star. It is nowhere near as bad as other Painkiller books. The art is also really good and the one bright side. I did not factor that into my rating and I never do good or bad. The rating is completely based on the story. I would not recommend buying this book. Even for a quarter.
