A Glorified PSA
The Good: This is a really excellent cover. It's got a nice simplistic design with some intensely powerful emotion centered in what little images there are.
I don't have much else to say. The characters are well written, the art is nice and dark etc. I WILL say that the intensity of the emotions has actually been ramped UP, if that was possible. Apparently it was, because things get insanely intense in this issue.
The Bad: John Walsh still brings nothing to the table that any other hero couldn't bring, and then kind of plays against what his M.O. is supposed to be as far as I know. It's just weird. And then we get Nighting mentioning Tanner only went after them because they went public, which was exactly HIS idea behind bringing in John Walsh.
In Conclusion: 3.5/5
Man.... I'm really bummed out that I didn't have more to say. This arc is so consistent that I barely have anything new to say at this point. It was the most intense part of the arc, which is why I bumped the score up, but at the same time, the pointlessness of John Walsh was ramped up just a tad as well. Whatever. It's actually a damn great arc, but the inclusion of John Walsh was a completely stupid way to turn a powerful arc into a blatantly cheesy PSA.
