    End game. (Spoilers!)

We have had our eyes opened in this series, now it is time to finally close them!

    The Good

So in this issue, The Original Sin finally ends! The story is Nick Fury bent on stopping Midas, and making sure that The Watcher's power is not used to conquer Earth. And all throughout this issue we see how answers are revealed and setup for future story arcs that have spawned new ongoing series. (i.e. Thor's sister has a monthly series now.)

What I enjoyed most about this issue was, seeing it all end! Through Jason Aaron's storytelling, he takes readers on a journey that will wrap things up nicely, and tease to what we can expect next from the Marvel Universe. Nick Fury and The Orb, Watchers; Bucky the new appointed guardian of Earth; and a new Midas empire? Writer Jason Aaron made it his mission that no stone would be left unturned, and he would be leaving readers something to look forward to in the near future.

Aaron also did a pretty good job at the pacing of this story. Sure, it was rushed a bit, however he did try to justify it a bit by answering questions and throwing almost non-stop action! With the help of artist Mike Deodato, this book was as good to read as it was to look at, and Deodato really brought life to Jason Aaron's story.

    The Bad

A problem with this last issue was, Watcher's death. This being the final issue, writer Jason Aaron did a decent job at answering all the questions and setting up what we will be seeing in other series [in the near future]. However, the question of "Who shot the Watcher?" was made very obvious when old man Fury was first revealed. (In a prior issue of this series.) If he had made Fury play coy better in an earlier issue, the big reveal, on Watcher's death would have had a bit more weight. However, it didn't. Instead, Aaron continued, with this issue's story, actinglike the reader didn't already know who killed Watcher.

Another problem with this issue was just the overall sequence of events. Sure, everything was action packed and the readers [me and you] were excited to see things end, but things just felt like they were rushed and Aaron was only trying to tie up loose ends. (Which wasn't entirely bad, because I did enjoy how nothing felt untouched by the end of this issue.) Still though, I feel like Jason Aaron could savor the final moments he had in this issue, to make a more meaningful impact and not just throw facts out to the readers.

    The Verdict

3 out of 5. The Main series event was good, a part of me wishes I read some of the other tie-in issues, but other than that, Aaron created a wonderful summer event that ended nicely and sets the stage for what's next in the Marvel universe. I recommend you check this main story event out as it has a little something for everyone, but still has many struggles as a story and can seem a bit rushed at times.
