ORIGIN II #1: THE WHITE BEAR
(Quick unprofessional review)
I wasn't going to check this comic out. Since this was a light week, I decided to give it a try. I'm not a huge Wolverine fan, and the overuse of Logan by Marvel disinterests me from picking up a new Wolverine-related title. I'm actually glad I check this out.
Kieron Gillen uses third-person narration to this first chapter. The writing was very solid. Adam Kubert illustrates some very bloody panels. The art looks phenomenal with the light white and red colours. The comic is very graphic for Marvel's standards, and that's what I like in a good Wolverine comic.
All in all, this was astoundingly very very good first issue. I'm going to read #2. 8.5/10
