One Above All

One Above All is the supreme leader of The Celestials and is the most powerful member of their race. While not much is known about him One Above All has been depicted as being far more emotional than the other Celestials. For instance when Gilgamesh the Forgotten One sacrificed his life to stop The Deviants from using the weapon that brought The Dreaming Celestial down on One Above All, he became filled with grief and immediately ressurected Gilgamesh. Out of immense gratitude for his heroic actions One Above All made Gilgamesh his personal bodyguard. Another and more famous instance was the day Thor stormed The Celestial Mothership and defeated Gilgamesh. One Above All, almost as if he were deathly afraid of Thor, began tossing heavy Celestial machinery at the God of Thunder in an attempt to kill him. Nevertheless because he is so powerful Thor was unable to harm him in any way.  
 
While the reasons for his unique emotional state of being are unknown it is possible that because One Above All spends almost all of his time on The Celestial Mothership that he could be suffering from the Celestial equivalent of Cabin Fever. Encounters with One Above All are rare though he has been seen by other denziens of the Marvel Universe including the original X-Factor line-up. One Above All is also a member of the "Cosmic Defenders," a group of high-end cosmic beings led by The Living Tribunal who work together for the greater good of the Universe. The One Above All was one of two Celestials, the other being Ziran the Tester, that chose to participate in the Infinity Gauntlet story arc. They assisted Adam Warlock in his attack on Thanos.
