    No, they're not.

    Darkseid has complete control over his Omega Beams, hence why they are able to change direction. They don't "track" targets.

    You're wrong. I don't care what happens in Geoff Johns ridiculous Justsh*t League series, what I said above is how Jack Kirby designed them, and it's how they work.

    Yeah, he has total control of them. They're an extension of his power, it's why they can turn at right angles and stuff. They're not "propelled" and they don't "track" targets. They just go where he wants them to.
