    Oblivion is an alien parasite that believes in the need for fear and death in the universe. It was him who sabotaged the ship of Icon and made him crash on earth. Millenia later, when Icon , then established as a hero on earth, was absent of the planet, Oblivion went to Dakota City. He didn't found Icon, but his replacemt, Buck Wild and Rocket. Oblivion killed Buck but he was eventually stopped by Icon.
