    A reflection on daily life

The public nowadays are hard to please. If they watch a TV show it will have to have everything as perfect as it could be, and theyre the same with comics. Though I'm sure that many people who read comics want explosive and out of this world stories, I'm also sure that they want something down to earth, something they can relate to, and I am sure that NYX Wannabe contains that.

First off, the whole story begins with a flashback of our main character Kiden. It shows how, even at the age of just five or six, people can lose things and their lives can go downhill. THe use of colours and dreamy artistic effects add to the drama and make the scenes really stand out. In this story you really can say that no scene stands alone.

The people who made NYX Wannabe did an amazing job at constructing and incorporating different themes into the story. When Kiden is coming out of her flashback, she thinks she can hear the bullets hitting her father but its really her friend knocking on the door, as she is at a nightclub and about to drop ecstasy. Also, in them few frames, like I said earlier, you can really see how people change with circumstances.

Anyway, moving on, you see the troubles that most people confront everyday being confronted in the story. A large family with only one parent living on benefits in a cramped house. This is something lots of people can relate to and thus you dont feel out of touch but almost as if the story is an exact replica of real life. Then theres school, and you see how some people cope with having few friends or being unpopular, as when Kiden arrives at school you see a boy getting bullied for being overweight.

"Big things come in small packages."

I think that quote fits in perfectly with issue 1 of NYX Wannabe. Kiden is a smoker and all because she stole a packet of ciggerettes from the local shop her life is turned upside down. During an arguement with someone, she blows smoke in his face and that starts a fight. If Kiden wasnt able to access the cigerettes then the fight would never have broken out. But then later on there is a massive fight in the corridors and Kidens laten time manipulation powers activate, showing how one thing really does move onto another.
