Fury on the Wing, Ch. 1 cliffhanger ending - A stampede of horses are chasing Nyoka. Looking back at them while running, she trips on a rock and falls to the ground. It will only be a matter of seconds now before the horses reach her and crush her with their deadly hooves!
Ch. 2 cliffhanger ending - A group of at least seven natives with spears are aiming them at Nyoka and ready to throw them...
The Petrified Jungle, Ch. 1 cliffhanger ending - Billows knocks Nyoka out by hitting her on the head with the end of his rifle. Crandall so thoroughly ties her arms and legs that the girl cannot possibly escape. Then they throw her into a pond.
Ch. 2 cliffhanger ending - A jungle earthquake releases deadly fumes into the air near Nyoka and Billows. Nyoka believes that it is these fumes which petrified Ajax and Crandall who are standing frozen nearby.
