The Treacherous Game Hunt, Ch. 1 cliffhanger - Nyoka is being chased by a lion and she fails to see an animal trap prepared by her fiancee, Larry Grayson. Suddenly a net wraps itself around Nyoka and she is helpless as the lion approaches...
Ch. 2 cliffhanger ending - Prowler hides on the ground near Nyoka and when he grabs her ankles and pulls, Nyoka smashes to the ground. Nyoka is stunned long enough for Prowler to tie her arms behind her back. Then he ties Nyoka to a tree and lets large game animals out of their cages. A lion, an leopard and two panthers are all headed for the bound girl....
The Death Stalked Expedition, Ch. 1 cliffhanger ending - Gread smashes the butt of his rifle into Nyoka's face, knocking her out cold. His partner, Hoag, tells him to simply shoot her, but Gread tells Hoag that the natives might hear a shot and that such is not necessary, as his rope will do the trick. He ties the knots in such a way that if the girl tries to escape she will strangle herself and if she does not, she will starve to death. The writer's words are probably the most chilling to date for a cliffhanger chapter ending for Nyoka. "Poor Nyoka! No matter what she does, she's doomed to die! If she tries to free herself, it means strangulation! If she doesn't, it means slow starvation!"
