Worldmind Question

So, I picked up the 1st issue of Secret Avengers (Top notch stuff IMHO) yesterday and I had a question. I am not very knowledgale at all regarding Nova. Does the Worldmind always speak to him in his head ala Professor Stein being in Firestorm's head?

Yes he does, Worldmind is the entirety of the Xandarian culture and knowledge it can grant the powers of the Nova Force and it can limit the power usage of any of the Nova Corps. Lately it doesn't need to limit his powers as much because he isn't carrying around the entire Nova Force since they started to rebuild the Corp. I enjoyed reading the new Secret Avengers, my only problem with it in regards to Rider is he completely ignored Worldmind, which he usually doesn't, not without some kind of discussion.

I think that had more to do with the serpent crown. But I remember in Annihilation, World-mind was pushed to the background in favor of developing Nova's character more. He wasn't really even consulted a whole lot during the main mini-series. I kinda liked that. We got to read what was going on in Nova's head, and he was totally hard core. Then, in his ongoing, he's the same nova he was, pre-Annihilation. There wasn't even a scar on his face, even though it was acknowledged that he did in fact have a scar. WTF? Why'd they change him back? Did they even explain it?

Yeah, but they acknowledge it. Justice asks Nova where he got that scar on his face, and there's no scar. Inconsistency is my main beef. I hate it. After that arc, I dropped the book. I couldn't handle it, and I wish and hope that Brubaker does something about that. I hope we see the return of the bad-a** Nova.
