    Richard Rider was a young teenager when he was granted the power of a Nova Centurion. He would have many adventures both on his own and with his peers among the New Warriors; Richard even became a member of the Avengers ever so briefly. He eventually became Nova-Prime, leader of the Nova Corps, where he established himself as a universally cosmic hero of immense power.

    i'm confused. Nova prime has ALL the powers of the entire corp. That has to be ALOT OF POWER. Yet he got his butt beat by Silver Surfer badly. Gladiator has hung with Silver Surfer a couple times. Yet Nova beat annilius who is a universe conquerer. So i think Nova SHOULD be one of the baddest dudes in marvel but his showings suck. Thanks for letting me rant

    so why couldn't he defeat the surfer? seems to me he can handle surfer, not with ease by any means but it doesn't add up

    @sirnicktheepic: Richard couldn't handle all the Nova Force as it would drive him nuts and eventually kill him so the World Mind only allows him to have some at a time, it does make him vastly more powerful than normal Corpsmen but if he COULD use the full force he would likely equal or take Surfer.
