Galactus compelled the Fantastic Four against their will to retrieve Terrax in exchange for his assistance in battling the Sphinx. Thanos First confrontation: Unknown Thanos was born on a moon orbiting Saturn called Titan. Thanos was born a Eternals' but has a gene in his genetic code that give him the appearance of a Deviant. The Deviants is a cousin race to the eternals. Growing up Thanos is mindful of his appearance and becomes distant. Although his fellow Eternals treated him no different, his bitterness of being different drove him insane. Thanos became fascinated with nihilism and embarked on a quest to "please" death. Thanos became an expert in the use of bionics and mysticism and augments his abilities making him the most powerful of the Eternals. He later conducted a nuclear bombardment of Titan that kills millions of his race. His mother was thought to have died in the attack, but she survived and was later kidnapped and dissected by Thanos. Thanos later traveled to Earth and built a base with a universal translator so he could communicate with his alien mercenaries. Earths heroes found the base and destroyed it. The Avengers along with Captain Marvel battle his minions and destroy them. Thanos ends up retrieving the cosmic cube and murders a large percentage of the Universe. He ended up discarding the cosmic cube when he thought it was drained of all power. Captain Marvel actually destroyed the cube which undone everything that Thanos had achieved. Thanos was eventually defeated by Earths heroes and returned to deep space. Thanos remains a power cosmic being, and a threat to our galaxy. His never ending passion to death will exist as long as he has power. |
