Oh Good... A New Author... AGAIN
This book needs to seriously settle for one author. SERIOUSLY.
I would say that this change makes a little more sense than the last, has Wells moved on to work on the New Warriors... which he didn't. What is with this series and needing a new writer every story arch? It leaves the narrative wanting a more solid and fluent flow.
I'm honestly not a huge fan of Duggan from what is shown here. He has some good ideas, as is presented by the blindness arch and whatnot, but is that earnestly his ideas or what was left to him to work with from Wells? The school interactions are pretty solid, but there's one section (the pawns stuff) that just feels off. It doesn't feel like it adds anything to the story as of yet (and, as I've already read the next issue, it doesn't seem to be adding much in the near future either). What's the point? I couldn't tell you, but it's frustrating when we already have so little time with him each issue.
But the direction that the story is headed is currently keeping me on board, as I'm quite fascinating by what's happening.
