Nocturne
Nocturne is a comic book character that first appeared in X-Men: Millennial Visions #1Nocturne is the daughter of Nightcrawler and the Scarlet Witch from an alternate reality.
Origin
Nocturne (Talia Josephine Wagner) is the daughter of Nightcrawler and the Scarlet Witch. She was a member of X-Men in her home reality, Earth-2182. There the X-Men were led by Wolverine. Members were Nocturne, Nightcrawler, Thunderbird ( Warpath), Kitty Pryde, Phoenix Force (The Phoenix Force inhabiting Colossus' dead body) and Armageddon.
When Talia was a teenager, both her parents apparently lived in different team headquarters but still loved each other. Nocturne still went to a normal school, where she met some other students who also like the same type of music that she does. The other students and her decided to form a band called Butt Monkeys. Nocturne managed to advance through the New Mutants training program to become one of the youngest X-Men on the team. Things weren't always the best in Nocturne's reality though. At one point, Wolverine was mind-controlled by Shadow King to kill Professor X. Unfortunately Wolverine succeeded, and was crippled from the neck down as a result of Professor X trying to stop him. Cyclops was angry with Wolverine, even though it wasn't his fault, and left the X-Men in grief.
From now on, Wolverine had telekinetic chips installed in everyone's heads so that he could mentally give them commands whilst on missions. In one mission against Apocalypse and his son Armageddon, Armageddon decide to reject his father and joined the X-Men. At the same time, Kate Pryde was somehow replaced with the younger Kitty Pryde, who had almost no training. Nocturne found herself as something of a tour guide to the young girl she had once known as "Aunt Kate".
The next day, Cyclops returned with his own version of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. He was going to kill his mentor's murderer and anyone who stood in his way. Cyclops's team was well-taught and eventually only Nocturne and Wolverine were the last X-Men left. Nocturne used her powers to possess the unconscious Armageddon, and used his telekinetic powers to kill Cyclops with Wolverine's body.
She had a relationship with team-mate James Proudstar.
Exiles
She got plucked from her reality by the Timebroker and forced to join the Exiles, or her father would be killed. When she entered the group it was like another job as she was used to in the X-men in her reality, but with the groups she faced many new foes and met the love in one of her teammates, John Proudstar - Thunderbird. She got pregnant with him, but lost the baby. Later Thunderbird was put in a coma during a battle and was left behind and replaced by Sasquatch. Nocturne was heartbroken by the loss and became noticeably withdrawn and cold.
Brotherhood
After many adventures the Exiles was forced to leave Talia behind on a mission to Earth-616 and take Blackwing with them as a substitute.
She was soon contacted by Exodus and joined the Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants. After realizing her mistake she and Juggernaut rebelled against the group, and ended up getting sucked into Xorn's head, and ended up in Mojo-World. Nocturne and Juggernaut soon escaped Mojoworld, and she stayed with the X-Men for a while. She became close friends with Earth-616 Nightcrawler and sees him as a father-figure.
New Excalibur
Later she joined the new Excalibur team along with Captain Britain, Dazzler, Juggernaut, Pete Wisdom and Sage. She has been grappling with an attraction for the Juggernaut, which he has yet to return. This attraction has caused friction between her and Dazzler, and has also put a strain on her friendship with the Juggernaut.
Sometime later Nocturne suffered a stroke, rendering her hospitalized. She has regained consciousness, but is having trouble coping. She is having trouble regaining memories of her friends and teammates, and is suffering partial paralysis of one leg and arm. She has recently regained the ability to speak, but initially after the stroke she was unable to communicate or to understand what those around her were saying. In order to exercise her mutant abilities, Sage allowed Nocturne to take control of her body to get out of the hospital for a while. While outlooks are positive, it is yet to be determined how much this will affect her in the long run, and there is no way of telling how much permanent mental and physical damage there will be.
She was recently re-united with Thunderbird and the Exiles, However she along with T-Bird and Blink decided to quit the team for a while, and is currently on vacation in Heather Hudson's reality.
Powers
Nocturne has the physiology of her father, Nightcrawler - blue fur, three fingers on each hand, two toes per foot and a prehensile tail. Like her father, she is extremely athletic and is a skilled fighter.
Like her father, Nocturne is able to cling to any surface by her hands and feet. Additionally she has the ability to possess someone for up to twelve hours and then gains access to that persons abilities and memories. She has superhuman agility, low-level telepathy and can release concussive bolts of energy (called 'hex-bolts') by accessing the Brimstone Dimension through which her father teleports.
