The Nobel Prizes are a set of extremely prestigious international awards established from the will of Swedish inventor Alfred Nobel in 1895.
The prizes are presented annually since 1901 in Stockholm, with the exception of the Peace prize which is awarded in Oslo. The prizes are not awarded posthumously.
The Economic Sciences prize was established by the Swedish National Bank in 1968. Even though the award is presented at the Nobel ceremony it is not a Nobel Prize, but awarded in memory of Alfred Nobel.
