    Nikolaus is an agent of the "The Other Side", one of the two empires that divides the multiverse. He is settled in Prague for centuries and he enjoys literature, writing and spend time with the ghosts of historical and cultured personalities of Prague that he is able to summon alongside his ghostly pub, "The Green Eagle". He is a nice person, a close friend of Harlan and his companions. He often opposes the agents of the secret police of hell sent to Earth by Nergal.
