Nightwing #17 0

Nightwing #17Death of the Family is finally over, and we can finally see the fallout left over from Joker's rampage. A lot of people are complaining that Death of the Family has not made a lasting impact on the universe. Personally, I don't feel that every plot line has to be a game changer to justify its existence. On the other hand, almost all the authors of the various tie ins claimed that this crossover was going to affect the characters for years to come, and this is nowhere more evidenced ...

The Other Duo 0

Ok, right off the bat I have to say that I like this cover, but I'm wondering why it doesn't have a 'Death of the Family Aftermath' label if Red Hood and the Outlaws has one. This issue is entirely focused on Nightwing dealing with the fallout of The Joker's attack, so what's the deal with that? This is really an issue for those who've been reading since before the New 52. Kyle Higgins works closely with Scott Snyder, we know, and he's been continuing some of the Dick Grayson-centric plot element...

PREFACE:Higgins dominated his two issues in DOTF, and now Dick Grayson is on the edge and is left in a terrible position. The name of this issue "The Long Week" earns its merit as we see what Dick is going through the week after Joker's attack. Chances are, Nightwing is going to have to find a new hobby, but how is Dick Grayson handling all of this destruction in his life? He must come to terms with what he has lost and how he will move forward, but on to the review.PLOT:WARNING THERE BE SPOILER...

This has been a very fun series, and although it's not been perfect it has been very good, and deserves to be one of the Bat titles out the now. I've been really happy since Dick Grayson returned as Nightwing, and I'm happy with the work that Kyle Higgins has been doing on the series.PlotIn the aftermath of Death of the Family Dick Grayson is dealing with all the terrible things Joker did to him, and the people round him trying to fix as much as he can. But Dick has a follower in current Robin, ...

EMOTIONAL 0

The start I think was excellent we see jokers serving dish, batgirl and nightwings batarangs and the broken red hood mask in the rubble. This issue is showing nightwing deal with the events of 'death of the family'. Halys circus leave him after raya and jimmys funeral, we get Barbra Gordon trying to be there for dick and we get a bromance feeling from nightwing and robin. This issue was the most emotional issue I personally have read in new 52 so far and I recommend you pick this up especially i...

Robin to the Rescue 0

Story- It starts off with Alfred telling Dick he did his best, and then takes the reader through the aftermath of Death Of The Family. I enjoyed it, but felt that the scene with Robin talking to Dick felt rushed. Also, how easily Dick went along with what Robin said felt a little weird. The scene with the creeper at the end was nice.Art- The cover really grabbed my attention. It was really well put together in my opinion. Inside, the art only impressed me in a couple panels. The rest looked nic...

I liked the story and enjoyed that aspect of it, but I absolutely hated the art. The characters are all drawn so ugly it took me out of the story. Instead of reading slowly and appreciating every panel, I was finding myself trying to rush through it so I could stop looking at that terrible artwork. I will be avoiding Mr.Ryp's work in the future....
