    I haven't had a chance to really read anything Nightcrawler has been in since they brought him back.

    Have they given any more explanation about what the Bamfs are or where they come from?

    yes, it was when they brought him back they are his brothers, kind of, they're worms from hell that Azazel fed his own blood until they got that look, then Kurt made some kind of deal or something with them and they turned blue, and took his place in Heaven or something and gave him a body back on earth
