Last month Marvel revealed a teaser for X-TERMINATION. We had no idea what it entailed besides Wolverine and Age of Apocalypse Nightcrawler fighting along with the date of March 2013. Now more information has been revealed.

In an interview with Newsarama, writer David Lapham has shed some light on an upcoming crossover between AGE OF APOCAPLYSE, X-TREME X-MEN and ASTONISHING X-MEN.

In March we can expect an Alpha issue with an Omega issue ending the crossover in April. The story deals with AoA Nightcrawler trying to get back to his own dimension which ends up with his running into the other teams.

One thing we all want to do is a bit of mix and matching, so it won't just be the X-Terminated all go over here and take care of this element, the X-Treme team go over here, etc. I want to see what Prophet thinks of the 616. I want to see AoA Nightcrawler meet young X-Treme Nightcrawler. I want to see AoA Jean meet up with Wolverine again. The event which brings them all together is massive, fate of the multiverse type stuff.

Should be cool. 616 Nightcrawler has always been an interesting character. AoA Nightcrawler is just as interesting, if not more. He's a more hardened version of 616. What I'd like to see is the Original X-Men in All New X-Men fight AoA Nightcrawler. That would be an interesting fight.

I'm not that thrilled from what I'm seeing.

This is a cheap way to resurrect a beloved character.

Sounds fun and I want to see what happens, but I don't think I have it in my budget to pick up eight extra books. Who knows, maybe my LCS will offer a discount for the whole event.

It's interesting that they actually used "616" to describe the main Marvel U.

nightcrawler is cool but i dont care for all these books. Maybe in trade if its well received.

I think this is a bit too much. You already have the original X-Men team from the past, why convolute the story even more by throwing in a character from another reality?

...I'm not sure about this, I could care less about the X-Tream and Astonishing aspect part of this cross-over. It will be interesting to see if AoA Nightcrawler goes bull-blown villain.

It gets hard to read series when they go into cross over mode. Sometimes it forces you to pick up books you haven't been reading thus you have no tie. I wish marvel could just cool it on crossovers and just let some of these series run for a bit. DC has had some tie ins but you never feel forced to read them.

I'm interested to see what happens. So are crossovers going to have an alpha & omega issue? Marvel did it with Minimum Carnage, now this. Is that the new thing now??

Maybe but you know what I will buy these. (finally) Haven't picked up ANY X-Men titles for a long long time but I am liking the teases and bits I've been seeing here. We all have different opinions but while this may be cheap to a degree I am giving in to it. Sounds like a fun ride.

Obivously just a way for marvel to keep people buying the Xmen titles that didnt get changed from Marvel now,.

I know I'll be hated, but I think in the end of this event, it's all Cyclops fault.

3 favorite Marvel characters: Nightcrawler, Punisher, and Spider-Man. That being said, I'm stoked!!!

I'll wait for the hardcover version. Easier to have all books in one and save money as well.

Interesting way to have some crossover material already going on. Kinda early for Marvel NOW though isn't it?

I wish they would cut the number of "X" books down and concentrate on telling more interesting stories instead of rolling out title after title. Some people will buy any book with an X on it so i guess they are to blame for all these so-so books coming out.

Are you surprised? They even got rid of Deadpool for a while, came up with a character called Agent X to replace him who was basically Deadpool just with grey speech bubbles because of the "X-Theory"

Something I've always liked about Astonishing X-men is that it was self contained, so this crossover isn't going to get me interested in the alternate reality X-men, it's just going to make me not bother picking up Astonishing' for it's duration.

ok, so first what is with marvel and all of this alpha and omega stuff? there was wolverine and the x-men alpha and omega, minimum carnage alpha and omega, and now this. but more importantly can they give back the aoa mutants their powers and trade nightcrawler for jean grey please?
