    I don't think so. He hasn't been around much since Secret War, and when he does pop up, he just sorta disappears like nothing. The character will be replaced by Samuel L. Jackson anyway, who'll probably be the new director of SHIELD soon enough, so... There's that.

    He is neither directer of 616 or Ultimate SHIELD.  Maria Hill has been shown to be directer of 616 SHIELD and Monica Change is director of the Ultimate SHIELD

    So if Nick isent director of shield anymore then were is he ?

     In present continuity except for when tried helping Bucky find Black Widow he is retired.
