NFL Football Star was a part of the Marvel Universe, correct?  Didn't they pull pretty much everybody during the Civil War out of the woodwork?  Did he ever make an appearance?  What about The Initiative and registration?  Or how about Secret Invasion?  It'd be nice to see him either revamped, or brought back to officially be nixed.  Maybe he was a Skrull and went back home...

I'm not really that interested... I just like to see loose ends taken care of.

Jeez, man. Talk about your obscure characters.
During Civil War, they probably just called him up and said: "Are you gonna register or do we have to send Batroc after you?" And he said: "I already registered." Then they said: "Oh, sorry. Bureaucracy, what can you do, huh?"

@Gambit1024: You've never heard of Superpro? Consistently picked as one of the worst comics ever? Try to forget all about it and go on with your life.

Marvel probably no longer holds the rights to use this character. Just guessing.

@aZuLPiNoY: Huh, according to wikipedia: In issue 9 of the latest volume of Marvel Team-up, Stilt Man tells Daredevil, "I beat up a guy called Superpro last week. Silliest looking guy..."

Dang, now I gotta check out that issue... That would've been awesome to see Stilt-Man do that to Superpro!  I know they probably didn't draw it, but that would've been hilarious to see  :)

Why is he listed as NFL Football Star?  Why isn't he listed as NFL Superpro? o.O

Btw, for those not in the know, when Marvel did their first set of Marvel Universe cards, Superpro was the promo card.  The Superpro card appeared in the football card packs that year, for the company that produced the cards (Fleer, I think).  The Superpro comic debuted shortly after the cards.

He got out of the super hero business, and is currently working as the costume designer for the new Captain America film.

Ah, I remember him; I bought the first issue for my little brother when we were growing up.  I'm sure it's in a box somewhere back with the folks.
